A woman in her 30s travels back to her home country, Poland, to visit her father in the hospital. They had been apart for a while, but it quickly turns out that due to recent complications, he has lost all his memories of the recent years. He is convinced her daughter is still 16, and they are a family. Trying to put the pieces of her life together, she starts visitng places from her past, meeting people who were important to her. A reflection begins on the origins of our identity: love, bonds, worldview, culture, desire, and finally even being itself, they all seem to pass and transform in the most unpredictable ways…
